ELIGIBLE PROVIDER TYPES

Physician (MD, DO) trained in pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine and emergency medicine

Physician Assistant (PA) with specialty in pediatrics or family medicine working within their defined scope of practice under the supervision of a physician who may or may not be a CARE Network DP
​​
-
Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialty in pediatrics or family medicine working within their defined scope of practice under the supervision of a physician who may or may not be a CARE Network DP
​​
-
Nurse (RN) practicing as Forensic Nurse Examiner or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner

BACKGROUND CHECK
CARE Network providers must successfully complete a background screening.
​
Screening processed by The Kempe Center through DORA confirming that a new provider's license is in good standing.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
INITIAL TRAINING

Complete two-day, virtual, New Provider Training. Click HERE for additional information and registration.

Complete mandatory reporter training HERE.
​
​
ONGOING TRAINING
​
-
Complete a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education per calendar year through designated web-based CARE NETWORK ECHO sessions.
​
-
Submit a minimum of 2 cases per calendar year for peer learning in ECHO sessions.
​​
-
Attend the 1-day, virtual CARE Network provider annual meeting.
​

MENTORSHIP
CARE Network providers must actively participate in the case review / mentorship program:

Every medical evaluation must be submitted to the Kempe Center for tracking and quality assurance. Click HERE for more information on submitting evaluations.
