MEDICAL PROVIDER INFORMATION

ELIGIBLE PROVIDER TYPES

  • Physician (MD, DO) trained in pediatrics, family medicine, internal medicine and emergency medicine

  • Physician Assistant (PA) with specialty in pediatrics or family medicine working within their defined scope of practice under the supervision of a physician who may or may not be a CARE Network DP

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) with specialty in pediatrics or family medicine working within their defined scope of practice under the supervision of a physician who may or may not be a CARE Network DP

  • Nurse (RN) practicing as Forensic Nurse Examiner or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner

BACKGROUND CHECK

CARE Network providers must successfully complete a background screening.

Screening processed by The Kempe Center through DORA confirming that a new provider's license is in good standing.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

INITIAL TRAINING

  • Complete two-day, virtual, New Provider Training. Click HERE for additional information and registration.

  • Complete mandatory reporter training HERE.

ONGOING TRAINING

  • Complete a minimum of 6 hours of continuing education per calendar year through designated web-based CARE NETWORK ECHO sessions.

  • Submit a minimum of 2 cases per calendar year for peer learning in ECHO sessions.

  • Attend the 1-day, virtual CARE Network provider annual meeting.

MENTORSHIP

CARE Network providers must actively participate in the case review / mentorship program:

  • Every medical evaluation must be submitted to the Kempe Center for tracking and quality assurance. Click HERE for more information on submitting evaluations.

  • Reimbursement is contingent on submissions. Click HERE for more information on billing and reimbursement.
